How to use the face roller

  • Step 1

    Apply a toner, a facial oil, OR a cleanser. (Tip: Do not use the roller with layers of active ingredients and products on. The facial massage will move these ingredients around).

  • Step 2

    Using the bigger side of the roller, roll along your jaw starting at your chin. Once you reach your jaw, LIFT the roller up and repeat this motion five times. Then repeat on the opposite side of your face.

  • Step 3

    Repeat step 2 on your cheek, rolling from the centre of the face outwards and upwards towards your temple.

  • Step 4

    Repeat step 2 on your forehead. Start with the roller between your brows and roll upwards towards your hairline. Repeat motion five times.

  • Step 5

    Again with the bigger side of the roller, roll down your neck towards your collar bone. Repeat on opposite side of your neck.

  • Step 6

    Use the smaller side of the roller, roll along your brow towards your temple, LIFT the roller up and repeat this motion five times.

  • Step 7

    Repeat step 6 on your under-eye area, gently rolling beneath your eye towards your temple.

  • Step 8

    Rinse your face and you are done! Repeat this routine on a daily basis in the morning or the evening. Ps. Sarah prefers the morning as that’s when she is the puffiest!).

HOW TO USE THE GUA SHA

  • STEP 1

    Apply a facial oil, OR a cleanser with a lot of “slip” in it. This is especially important to do with the gua sha to avoid tugging or pulling on the skin.

  • STEP 2

    Using light to medium pressure, use the contoured divot to massage along your jaw starting at your chin. Once you reach the end of the jaw, wiggle the gua sha back and forth. Repeat this motion five times on both sides of the face.

  • STEP 3

    Using the rounded side of the gua sha, repeat step 2 on your cheek, starting at the corners of the mouth.

  • STEP 4

    Using the contoured divot, repeat step 2 once again on each eyebrow, starting from the inside of the brow out towards the temple.

  • STEP 5

    Using the flat side of the gua sha, massage the forehead from the brow up towards the hairline. Repeat 5 of each motion on each side of your forehead.

  • STEP 6

    Using the contoured divot, massage down the bridge of your nose, wiggling at the top to receive tension between your brows.

  • STEP 7

    Using the contoured divot, massage each side of your neck using downwards motions with the gua sha.

  • STEP 8

    Rinse face and you are done! Repeat routine 3-4 times a week, in the morning or the evening.
